A visual identity for an audio brand
When we set out to create a brand identity for 21 South, we wanted a look and feel that's as approachable and human as they are. Every composer and producer at 21 South comes from a lifelong passion for music, taking pride in a personalized approach to each project. With that in mind, we developed a color palette and logo that pay homage to analog roots and contrast the overproduced feel of big music houses. The logo itself was designed to reflect the contours of music notes.

Creating the final mix
Once we established a visual identity, we built the website to showcase 21 South's capabilities, accomplishments, and personality. The site pulls together elements that create an engaging and impactful experience, while still feeling personal. We open with a bold statement and the sizzle reel. Scrolling down the page, we keep it simple with some highlighted work, an overview of offerings, and a responsive "about" section that includes personal photos to add authenticity. All of this against a backdrop of muted tones, pops of gold, and typography that allude to a retro vibe and a love for LA's musical history.
