Stepping into the world of Bridgerton

In order to build excitement and raise awareness for the next season of Bridgerton, Netflix asked Haus to build a filter on Tiktok that would allow fans to put themselves into the beloved kingdom.

Creating the Look

Using generative AI, we created templates of Bridgerton-esque characters, taking care not to mimic a specific character’s likeness or clothing while also capturing the style of the Bridgerton world. TikTok’s real-time machine learning allowed us to transpose the user onto our custom templates in moments with random results, encouraging repeated tries for new results.

The debut

A regal reception

The resulting filter and launch was an immediate hit on TikTok, generating 392,000 videos and 218M views on the effect, to date. Users shared their portrait videos, helping to expand the fantasy world of Bridgerton and bring it to our world.

The use of AI in entertainment has been a sensitive topic in recent years. When working with the #2 streaming show on Netflix, we were acutely aware of the challenges ahead. Replicating characters or costumes from the show was off-limits, and no content from the series could be used to train our models. Instead, we crafted custom prompts to generate Bridgerton-inspired results that captured the essence of the era and aesthetic of the show. Leveraging our expertise in creative technologies and design, we developed an engaging experience that let fans do what they love most—immerse themselves in the world they've come to adore.
